Licencing FAQ

Postby Rusty » Fri May 26, 2017 9:00 am

Where is my licence?

I obviously haven't sent you one; or I did and I need to send it again.

Your licence is tied to your PayPal account you used to purchase OctaEdit; so please make my life easier, and either email me from that account; or provide me the transations details so I can cross reference.

It may take up to 24 hours for me to get your licence to you.

How do I licence OctaEdit?

a) Copy your licence file OctaEdit.lic file to your desktop.

b) Open the associated OctaEdit.txt file in TextEdit (OSX) or Notepad (Windows) for easy copying and pasting later.

c) Launch OctaEdit

d) Click on the OctaEdit logo to display the About form. Then click on the 'Cog' in the bottom right hand corner.

e) The form will change as below showing fields for your Name, Email and Serial.

f) Simply copy/paste your details from the TextEdit / NotePad into the fields. (Of course you can type them in manually if you want?)

g) Click the green tick

This is the worst interface I have ever seen. Tech support is for shit. Rusty is zero help and will not refund. Don't buy this product.

That's what you'll start seeing in the near future. Hope you can keep up.

Marc
